Eyam Plague Cottages

The Peak District is rich with history and nowhere more so than Eyam with it’s central place in the story of the plague in the 17th Century. Together with the sad statistics of the families devastated by the plague there is the heroic story of the sacrifice the village made to prevent the plague going any further.

The plague cottages with the church in the background is a scene I have always loved with the traditional cottage gardens, I loved painting all the different types of flowers.
